| STEP
1 - Obtain the SUMS Handheld software. |
We supply schools on both CD and memory stick,
depending on your preferences - but purchase via www.sums.co.uk
not this site. |
| STEP
2 - Check your PSP's operating system version. |
If Flash is already enabled (true for most recent versions of the PSP) then go straight to Step 4 below.
If you do not think Flash is enabled, check the
version of the operating system that your PSP uses to see if it is recent enough to know what Flash is.
To see this
go to System Settings on the top level menu of the PSP then System
Information. Below the line showing the MAC
Address it should tell you a System
Software Version such as 3.11. You need version
2.70 or later, as this was the version that introduced Flash to the PSP. |
| |
If you
don't have version 2.70 or later then go to the page of this
website that explains the process for getting the latest version
of Sony's firmware for your PSP. The page is called "Upgrading
your PSP". |
| STEP
3 - Enable Flash on your PSP. |
Once your
PSP has System Software version 2.70 or later, you will need
to enable Flash, unless you have already done so for other games.
See the section of this website that explains how to do this.
The page is called "Enabling
Flash on your PSP". |
| STEP
4 - Start using SUMS Maths |
Check
that you have put the memory stick into the PSP, and then start
the PSP's browser. To do this, go to the WWW
Internet Browser symbol on the top level menu
of the PSP and press enter (the X button). You may then have
to press the triangle button to show the menu on the bottom
of the screen. |
| |
Move
along the bottom menu, the buttons in order being:
File Back Forward Refresh Home
Bookmarks History View Tools |
| |
Go
to the Bookmarks
option and press enter. Then press My
Bookmarks and you should see an option for SUMS
Maths. Select that and you should see the top level menu for
SUMS. |
